A Winter Vacation

So we booked a weekend at Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls at the end of February. Since we aren't taking a vacation with Callie this winter this would have to do. In her mind there isn't a big difference between a weekend and a full week it was perfect. She had a great time and was so excited she was talking about it in her sleep. We told her we were going to a big pool and she asked on the drive down about a dozen times where it was. We snapped a few pics on Brandy's camera so I wanted to share.

This was us before we left all smiles.


And of course she finally napped on the way down.


She was ready for the pool in minutes and running down the hall to the waterpark.



Can you see the excitement in this face!!! She was pumped and ready to play. The place was huge and we walked through the whole place but never made it into the big slides up top. Callie was too chicken.


The great thing is that most of the pools are just this deep. Enough for Callie to walk around without me holding her. She was content just doing that - we walked from pool to pool. She avoided anything that splashed or sprayed - kinda defeats the purpose of a waterpark.


She finally did venture onto the kids water slides - it took just as long to get her off of them as it did to get her on.


She really did have a good time.


And the place is huge.


There were many tears when we had to go home. Callie really wanted to stay. I am sure we will be back...
